Sanjay Dutt has been one of the most loved personalities in Bollywood ever since he was born to his parents, the yesteryear superstars Sunil Dutt and Nargis on this day 62 years back. Ever since his debut in 1981 with Rocky, Sanjay has been the blue-eyed boy of Bollywood for four decades now. He is more fondly referred to as Baba or Sanju within the fraternity.
Today marks the superstar’s 62nd birthday and this year he also completed four decades in the film industry. In that span, Sanjay has had some frequent actors and directors that he has collaborated with on multiple projects, including David Dhawan, Subhash Ghai, Rati Agnihotri, Poonam Dhillon, Jackie Shroff and Madhuri Dixit, and has given some of the biggest successes of his career. With Rati, Sanjay has done multiple films including Johny I Love You, Main Awara Hoon and Mera Faisla, during the initial years of his career and the actress remembers her co-star very fondly. “We all started our careers around the same time, Sanju, Bunty, me and Poonam. We were all from a similar age group. We did a lot of work together and also had a lot of fun together with our families when we were on long outdoor shoots in Manali. We used to do barbecuing and cycling and play board games and music. Those times were simple yet beautiful. My parents always accompanied me to the outdoor shoots, so food, music and laughter were a staple. Sanju is the same fun, quiet and caring person today as he was all those years back. Meanwhile, Sanjay has had a tough last one year with his cancer diagnosis, but the actor tackled it bravely and is on the road to recovery. He will next be seen in the Ajay Devgn-starrer Bhuj: The Pride Of India, followed by K.G.F 2 where he fights Yash, With Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor in Shamshera and With Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar in Prithviraj.
